The celebration of one's heterosexuality. It is not a bigoted or intolerant thing to proclaim-we use this fact to spread thinly veild homophobia.
Modern society has come to accept people irrespective or their sexual orientation, accepting that it is just the way people are made, and really not a big deal. We are unwilling to accept this. We believe that homosexuals have chosen to be different. Just like we chose to be straight.
There is nothing wrong with being homosexual, there is nothing wrong with being bisexual, and there is nothing wrong with being heterosexual. We still don't like the gays though, they have better stuff than us.
If gay people have pride, a celebration of acceptance from a history of oppression, and an ongoing reminder of oppressions still happening in the rest of the world, then why can't we? Yes this is a serious question.
We are a small group of people suffering inadequacy issues that feel the need to scream & shout
To raise awareness of the heterosexual part of society. Because no one has ever heard of heterosexuality before. In fact a lot of homosexuals have at least 2 straight parents, but still we need more people to know about us, about meeeee.
Heterosexuals do not have equality, homosexuals and heterosexual LGBTQ allies have better hair, looks, clothes, jobs, cars, families, lovers, sex lives, prospects, friends and better parties than we do. It's not fair. Do you see their fabulosity? Their flare? The way the flood the streets with a message of happiness and acceptance for all? IT'S NOT RIGHT. WHY CAN'T I HAVE THAT?
Homosexuals have nearly equal rights now, and that's super scary. Also they have 'special rights' which trump others. Like twerking, or throwing shade. It's not fair that they get on with their lives and expect to be treated just like any other human.
